The complete theatrical edition of the film will be screened live-to-film at the Peacock Theater on Friday, July 17th, 2026. The film will be accompanied by the entire score performed live by a massive ensemble, chorus and soloists. The 60-foot screen will provide an intimate and immersive cinematic experience as Howard Shore’s Academy award winning music returns to central Los Angeles for the event’s Los Angeles debut.
The music of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, written for the iconic film by legendary composer Howard Shore, elevates the beloved movie to an absolute work of cinematic wonder. The tour, featuring the complete score of The Fellowship of the Ring live performed by a massive ensemble, chorus and soloists, is currently traveling the world for sold-out shows and now makes its Los Angeles debut. The Los Angeles performance is part of a 25th-anniversary worldwide tour of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

The Award-Winning Academy Award score of The Fellowship of the Ring will be performed by a full symphony orchestra, accompanied by a chorus and soloists—totally 238 musicians—as the complete theatrical film is projected onto a 60ft high definition screen in perfect synchronization.
Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Fellowship, this international tour currently taking place in North and South America as well as around the world revisits songs such as “Concerning Hobbits” and “The Fellowship” which have been received in Classical/Film halls of fame around the world—most recently ranked #1 by Classic FM’s fans for three years running (2023-2025).
The In Concert version of The Fellowship of the Ring has been Acclaimed by critics and fans worldwide offering a powerful experience that goes far beyond what has been published on record. The show’s award winning composer Howard Shore was voted the greatest film score of all time by readers of Classic FM, in 2005, in addition to three Academy Award Wins (for The Fellowship of the Ring and The Return of the King), four Grammy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. The songs of The Fellowship of the Ring have now traveled the globe for over 18 years, performed in numerous venues and always with the complete symphony of 238 musicians on stage.
Peacock Theater is located at 777 Chick Hearn Court in downtown Los Angeles, CA 90015. Every seat is within 220 feet of the stage. There are over 60 ft high screens that surround the stage and provide an incredible backdrop to the performances. The large stage at Peacock Theater measures 120 feet wide by 80 feet deep and 235,000 square feet. There are 4,300 seats on the orchestra level, and 2,800 seats on the loge and mezzanine levels for a total of 7,100 seats.
