For one night only, all Lord Of The Rings fans and moviegoers alike will be treated to experience one of the most successful films of all time and a pioneering epic film in the screening of The Fellowship of the Ring, as an entire orchestra recreates in complete synchronization to the film the film score of the Academy Award for Best Original Score winning film of 2001, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. 

The Fellowship of the Ring, the first of Jackson’s three films to bring J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings to the screen, earned four Academy Awards and widespread critical acclaim, as did the score written for the film by composer Howard Shore, along with songwriters Fran Walsh and Lynette Mintz. The soundtrack for the film earned an Academy Award for Best Original Score, as well as a Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack Album for an Instrumental or A cappella Work, Original Composition, as well as several other nominations for both awards.

This concert screening of The Fellowship of the Ring will include all of the film’s music performed live from start to finish, all 178 minutes, in the film’s original 2001 cut. See The Shire, the depths of Moria, the beauty of Lothlórien, the perilous trek across Mount Caradhras, the intense battles with the Ringwraiths, and the fearsome Black Gates of Mordor as they were originally intended.
